Congo African Grey
(Psittacus erithacus)

The African Grey is considered by many to be the best talking bird around.  They all talk when in a home, just try and stop them.  They are very intelligent and some say up to a 3 year old child.  These abilities have made it a very popular pet.

Senegal Parrot
(Poicephalus senegalus)

The Senegal is nice bird that can talk and imitate sounds.  The Senegal is becoming a popular pet and is the most commonly found Poicephalus.  They are about 10".  There body is about the same as a Sun or Quaker but they have a shorter tail which is common with most african species.  It is possible to tell a male from a female.  The females (pictured), green v-neck goes lower on the body than the male.  This method is not reliable 100% of the time though.  They are also a nice size bird for the home.
