The Parrot Club of Manitoba
About Us
The goals of the Parrot Club of Manitoba are:
To mutually exchange knowledge, information and expertise relative to
parrots and hook billed birds for the purpose of creating a better
environment for the care of these birds. Education of members and those
interested in parrots will be a priority area.
To exhibit and encourage the exhibition of parrots and other talking
birds at public events.
To promote the preservation and propagation of parrots and other
talking birds in Manitoba and Canada
To educate the public in the proper care of parrots.
To assist the public in the recapture of escaped or lost flying birds.
Meetings
The Parrot Club of Manitoba meets on the 3rd Friday of each month
(except December when we have our Christmas Party and June when we have
our Barbeque instead of the meetings).
Meeting location is the Fort Rouge leisure Centre

Events
The Parrot Club of Manitoba does not have any show, however we have a
few annual displays that we attend.
In mid March - Oak Hammock Marsh, located north of the City of Winnipeg
In May - the mall in Steinbach, Manitoba
In July - Polo Park Shopping Centre for a 2 day display
In September - the mall in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
In June, we have a large garage sale with donations & work provided
by our members to raise funds for our club. |
